Wireless and Remote Access
Several methods are available to you for accessing the campus network depending on your affiliation:
Wireless
Wireless access is available on campus for eligible customers (UCD students, faculty, staff, and sponsored users). Please call the Help Desk at your location to find out how to use this system.

Remote Access - VPN
Eligible customers (DDC students, faculty, staff and sponsored users, HSC faculty, staff, and sponsored users) can access the campus network from home or work using your high-speed Internet service if you use VPN to establish a secure connection. To request VPN service, please call the Help Desk at your location:

The Help Desk can email instructions to you for setting up and using VPN on your personal computer. Please note that these instructions can only be sent to an official UCD email address.
Remote Access - Dialup
If you do not have high-speed Internet service, eligible customers (DDC faculty, staff and sponsored users, HSC students, faculty, staff and sponsored users) can dial in to the campus modem pool. To request Dialup service, please call the Help Desk at your location:

The Help Desk will provide you with information on system requirements and instructions for setting up your computer to use the dialup service.
