Van-On-Demand Service Description

This service provides the Downtown Denver Campus with shuttle service to and from the Anschutz Medical Campus and 9th and Colorado Blvd. Campus. Those needing rides can call 303-521-2968 for service or place a reservation in advance. Reservations can be made up to one week in advance. This shuttle service is to be used for business related transportation and not as a substitute for commuting.
This service is free to UC Denver faculty, staff and students with University ID.

Hours of Operation

• Service is provided from 7:00am to 6:00pm, Monday through Friday.Last ride from AMC to DDC will be at 4:30pm.Last ride from DDC to AMC will be at 5:15pm.
  Service Utilization
• Calls for service are accepted between 7:30am and 4:30pm, Monday
  through Friday.
• Rides are scheduled on a first come, first served basis.
• Times for return rides is verified at the time of the initial request for service to ensure that the return time can be accommodated.
• If a passenger misses their scheduled return ride, an effort will be made to accommodate the person, but will not be guaranteed.

Shuttle Stops

• Downtown Denver Campus: Stop is located on Lawrence St. in front of the Lawrence Street Center. Stop will be identified with a sign.
• Anschutz Medical Campus: Stop location will be determined by passenger.
• 9th and Colorado Blvd. Campus: Stop is under the south side of the research bridge on 9th Ave.
• President’s Office – 1800 Grant: Stop is at the RTD stop on the northwest corner of 18th and Grant.
• Service is only provided between the 9th and Colorado Blvd. Campus and Anschutz Medical Campus if a separate pickup or drop off is already scheduled at the 9th and Colorado Blvd. Campus. People needing service just between the 9th and Colorado Blvd. Campus and Anschutz Medical Campus need to utilize the existing Intercampus shuttle service.

Maximizing Ridership and Service Efficiency

Reservation schedules are posted on Outlook Express so that riders can utilize existing reservations for service and adjust their travel accordingly.

Van-On-Demand On-line Schedule Viewing

In order to maximize ridership and service efficiency, Van-On-Demand reservation schedules are now accessible via computer. This will allow riders to utilize existing reservations for service and adjust their travel accordingly. To view the reservation schedule in real-time, you can go to the Van-On-Demand calendar through the links below or through your Outlook.

On the main Outlook page, click on File, Open, Other User’s Folder; in the Folder window select Calendar and then enter the following Name:

• For UC Denver users enter: DDC On Call Van
• For HSC users enter: Van On Demand, FacOp

If you would like to ride an already scheduled shuttle, please call (303) 521-2968 between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. The driver needs to know how many passengers to expect, and also to confirm availability for your return ride if necessary.
